Last month we announced our new Boissevain family website. This website is still under construction but we will keep you informed of the progress. In order to add new functionality to the web site we had to change from service provider. We also changed from address. The new website can be found at www.boissevain.org. You need Microsoft Explorer to navigate through the new website. The old website is still in place and can be found under the address www.boissevain.net.

We were pleased to receive some contributions. We received a web page regarding the Boissevain resistance fighters who died during WOII with photos of their graves. This web page can be found at http://www.boissevain.net/nl/bul-nl/1943BoissevainDeaths.htm

We received the link of an excellent website regarding the resistance fighters, among them Gideon and Janka Boissevain: http://www.zijkozenvoorverzet.nl/boissevains.html

For more information of WOII resistance and the most impressive mother of our family Mies Boissevain-van Lennep read the article of Bob Boissevain: http://www.boissevain.net/en/bul-en/en%201994.htm

We received the following link of websites about family members:

  1. Ben Boissevain is a very successful finance person in New York. He is often interviewed on TV and in the press: http://www.agileequity.com/team.html

  2. Mathijs (Mat) Gideon Jan Boissevain has designed many of the machines used in the worlds paper industry. In particular paper scanners. He has more than 30 engineering patents. His latest design is an environmentally friendly home cooling system: http://www.agileequity.com/team.html

  3. Jan Boissevain purchased a stock ranch in Western Montana known as the Corbett Ranch. Boissevain, an avid horseman, dreamed of turning this property into a dude ranch, which he would name after the brand on his favourite horse. You can read about his life in the Dutch cavalry and also how he started the double arrow ranch: http://www.doublearrowresort.com/Information/history.asp

  4. Chris and Charis Boissevain are both designers. Take a look at their biography and all the new mass market designs they have recently added to their website: http://www.bzdesign.com/main-frames.html Some of their art can be seen on the following website: http://www.freetownink.com/
